And it was so…

Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

– Genesis 1:29-30

Daniel Arenas, Dylan Comeau and Ethan Pierce took a trip to Sand Creek Farm in Cameron, TX this past weekend to take a course in Aquaponics. We are always looking for new ways to provide food for ourselves and our community. The guys came back very excited about the prospects for gardening with Aquaponics on the new land. We’ll keep you posted on future developments and look forward to serving you a fresh salad when you come to visit!

Pam, thanks! My Son-in-law Ryan and we had quite a discussion and look at Aquaponics last year when he was here from Sacramento where he oversees a growing operation (fish, rice). I was able to visit him when traveling this year, and was very impressed with his management and innovation. Of course, we’d love to see them be able to come here. Keep us posted. This is great. So glad you are doing this. I was in Whole Foods today looking for some basil and found a wonderful array of herbs for half the price with twice the amount. They are grown locally with AQUAPONICS. Several organizations in the city of Chicago have converted abandoned buildings into aquaponic facilities with tremendous success. Blessings on this venture for you. How awesome. Maria
